Westhafen Tower in Frankfurt am Main

Westhafen Tower Frankfurt – I

Who has not heard of the Westhafentower Frankfurt? The green column in Frankfurt, right on the river Main. Of course, I made some shots that I want to show you.

Westhafen Tower Frankfurt

As the name implies, it is located in the Western Harbor. A special backdrop, because there is probably no skyscraper so close to the shore.

That is why I used the location as probably the architect thought it was: The mirroring in the Main.

This time I wanted to show not only the tower separated but its environment. Nevertheless, I wanted to focus on the main element. This can be natural with a Tilt-Shift lens wonderful.

Not only that the slanting lines are avoided, but also the beautiful blurred effect I could use well for it. This miniature effect I have described in my blogpost of the lens also more precisely , if someone would like to learn more about it.

A very nice combination: tilt-shift (straight Tower), blurring (focus on Tower), Long Time Exposure (blurring of the water) and the colors!

Dave and I had a lot of luck, because sometimes the sun came out for a brief moment. As a result, the colors shone even more brilliantly.

In the next posts, I will show more pictures of this location. I hope you like the picture as well as me!
