BMW Museum – Study 1

BMW Museum – Study 1

Here it is: One of my favorite Image, the BMW Museum!

BMW Museum

The building is about 25-meter height and pretty unique. By default, buildings have corners and edges. But a completely round building?

The steel facade gives the building a cool touch, but it eases the whole area around the BMW complex. It is a strong shape, but not too intrusive.

The Munich-based  fondly called this “salad bowl” or “veal sausage vessel” and I think the shape is pretty close. Mainly because the building was built on a light hill 😉

The museum shows the history of BMW: Where does BMW come from? Which cars were the decisive impulses for the company from today’s point of view.

Fun fact: A huge BMW logo can be seen from above.

My point of view

Like all my images from the BMW series, this image gets my “BMW Blue” style. This color style makes the metal facade even cooler. The sky fits perfectly to the building.

The railing leads the eye from the lower left to the right, into the first third. Thus, the building is interpreted as “the future”. I put really much work in the lines but this a science in itself. The viewing direction “into the future” reinforces the futuristic building.

The second glance falls on the oval window, which deliberately lies in the second third of the picture, which is, so to speak, the eye catcher.

The third glance then goes to the small cloud, which was blurred by the longtime exposure. From there, the eye moves again from the bottom left to the right and the game starts from the beginning.

I hope that it will always lead you in a circle and allows you to stay for a few seconds before you have considered the image fully.

Please look also in my whole Munich portfolio.

    Hallo Timo,
